IV INTERNACIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL COMFAMILIAR RISARALDA

IX INTERNATIONAL MUSIC CAMP - EJE CAFETERO

As has been tradition since 2013, the IX International Music Camp - Eje Cafetero was held in the facilities of the Consotá Park of Comfamiliar Risaralda. A space that has had the sole purpose of promoting music as a life option for the young people who participate there.

On this occasion, the event included the participation of national and international maestros and soloists, three chamber music concerts with members of the Filarmónica Joven de Colombia and the Filarmónica del Café, master classes, partial, sectional and group rehearsals and other activities in which more than 60 young people shared during ten days.

CHRISTMAS MUSICAL

More than 150 artists on stage, in collaboration with the Children's Choir of the Complementary School Program of Comfamiliar Risaralda and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Coffee started the second Christmas Musical held on December 7 at the Consotá Park.

On this occasion, hundreds of families enjoyed a Christmas show full of joy, magic and many Christmas carols, where music, dance and emotion were the protagonists of a unique night of candles.

GALA NIGHT

The IV International Music Festival of Comfamiliar Risaralda was closed with the Gala Night at the Cathedral Nuestra Señora de la Pobreza, in the city of Pereira, with works by great composers such as Tchaikovsky, Beethoven and Bruch.

For this occasion, the 70 members of the Filarmónica del Café were conducted by the German maestro Emanuel Dantscher (guest conductor) and shared the stage with the Portuguese-Venezuelan violinist Eduardo Gomes (guest soloist), trained at the Latin American Violin Academy and former member of the violin section of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela.

The audience enjoyed a program composed by Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony, Ludwig Van Beethoven's Egmont Overture and Max Bruch's Concerto No. 1 for Violin and Orchestra.

The great support of institutions such as the Ministry of Culture, Fundación Bolívar Davivienda, Colombia Crea Sonidos and Fundación Yuri Buenaventura, the Secretary of Culture of Pereira, the Government of Risaralda and the Regional Competitiveness Commission, who made possible the realization of this fourth edition of the Festival, should be highlighted.
